Before you is a large chair which is currently occupied by Captain Gym Smirk. Oh no! You've obviously entered one of those awful spoof adventures modelled on 'ST' that used to be popular a while back. You can't take much more of this subtle name changing lark - you have to get out of here before you go mad! Message 1 {2}{16}{5}{19}{1}You are on the bridge of the starship. A large chair is here and a lift lies to the north. Other stations on the bridge lie to the east, west and south. A turbo-lift is to the north. Message 2 As you enter this room you pause - transfixed - as a large pepper-pot glides towards you. In a second its top comes off and pepper is emptied into the atmosphere. You sneeze yourself violently to death... Message 3 It seems that someone else found it boring but stopped it from making the hole, that lies in the floor here, any bigger. Message 4 Which one? Message 5 Smirk turns around in his chair and sees you. "{16}{4}{19}{1}Who in blue blazes...!{16}{6}{19}{0}" he shouts. ^{7}"{16}{4}{19}{1}Security! Escort this man to the brig!{16}{6}{19}{0}".^{7}Hard luck! You're destined to spend your whole life in this badly written dump of an adventure... Message 6 Smirk turns round in his chair and sees you. "{16}{4}{19}{1}Ah, Smok!{16}{6}{19}{0}" he says, "{16}{4}{19}{1}You have the conn. I'm just going to beam down to the planet Mironas below and put myself into some strange predicament.{16}{6}{19}{0}" He leaves the bridge. Message 7 It is a normal manual screwdriver. Message 8 It is round Message 9 and full of water. Message 10 It is.. erm... Message 11 blue. Message 12 red. Message 13 Instead of being covered in jokes, like the average loo roll, it is filled with scribblings like 'Mistress Rules The Universe O.K.'. Message 14 It's just some ordinary mothballs. Message 15 They are pointed devil's ears. Message 16 It shows the planet Message 17 Mironas. Message 18 Earth. Message 19 The computer is activated and on its screen are the numbers '{16}{3}{19}{1}{1}49 77 53515{16}{6}{19}{0}{2}' and '{16}{3}{19}{1}{1}49 77 93005{16}{6}{19}{0}{2}'. Message 20 It's one of those executive chairs that people spend most of their time twizzing round in. Message 21 You find some mothballs in the console. Message 22 It has a small keyboard, several dials and buttons on it - the most notable of these being the ones marked '{16}{3}{19}{1}ENERGIZE{16}{6}{19}{0}' and '{16}{3}{19}{1}REMOTE{16}{6}{19}{0}'. Message 23 It's totally impossible to work and you can never be certain that you'll get to the right destination. You could say that the TARDIT is a sort of successor to British Rail (chortle, chortle). Message 24 Very, very large. It is Message 25 sitting on a small key. Message 26 playing with a toilet roll. Message 27 It has a sign on it which reads '{16}{3}{19}{1}BOG OFF{16}{6}{19}{0}'. Presumably this is a note of the current operational status of the toilet and not a crude message. The toilet is full of water. Message 28 You see nothing out of the ordinary, if that phrase can conveniently be applied to a six foot condiment container. Message 29 The toilet roll holder Message 30 contains a toilet roll. Message 31 is empty. Message 32 The devil's outfit comes complete with plastic ears. Message 33 It is currently positioned on the floor. Message 34 The door to the east is blue. Message 35 The door to the west is red. Message 36 One has screws in it. Message 37 By looking through the small grille in the floor you can see the room below. In it is a large pepper-pot! Message 38 Checkout is busy telling a joke. "{16}{4}{19}{1}So Smirk goes to old Macca and asks him, 'Can I have my eyes checked?' To which the doc replies 'Why? Don't you like them being brown?{16}{6}{19}{0}" Sue-Loo seems suitably unimpressed but to your surprise you actually find it funny and laugh heartily.^{7} Message 39 Checkout looks at Sue-Loo, "{16}{4}{19}{1}Wait a minute!{16}{6}{19}{0}" he says, "{16}{4}{19}{1}Mr Smok is a Walcanian, he does not have a sense of humour. Velly ^{7}strange!{16}{6}{19}{0}". It's not long before they call security. Message 40 You give the course to Checkout and Sue-Loo and they type it in. "{16}{4}{19}{1}Course plotted, Mr Smok.{16}{6}{19}{0}" they say or rather you assume they do as you can't actually hear them. "{16}{4}{19}{1}Right, engage - Max Factor Six.{16}{6}{19}{0}"^{7} Message 41 The starship comes to life and you find yourself in orbit around a new planet. Message 42 The starship comes to life and several hours later you find yourself approaching a planet. Everything would have been alright if you had stopped in orbit around the planet, but no - the ship keeps going and minutes later you smash into a rather large building on the planet's surface... Message 43 Not yet! Message 44 You enter the turbo-lift and go down to the transporter room... Message 45 You type in the co-ordinates. Message 46 The transporter is activated but you are not on it! Message 47 You can't reach from here! Message 48 You stand on the transporter pad. Message 49 You get off the pad. Message 50 You press the 'REMOTE' key. Message 51 Message 52 The transporter sends you to... Message 53 The computer reacts to your voice command and the transporter is activated... Message 54 The dog growls at you menacingly. Message 55 The dog is too happy playing with the bog roll to notice you. Message 56 The dog sees it and starts to play with it, just like in the TV ads! Message 57 Regretting the lack of rubber gloves you tentatively dip the hole into the toilet and fill it with water. Message 58 What with? Message 59 Look, if you want to play about with toilets then do it in ^{7}'{16}{7}{19}{1}Behind Closed Doors{16}{6}{19}{0}', not here! Message 60 Message 61 You pick up the hole! Message 62 You can't find the exit!!! Message 63 You find the exit and escape... Message 64 You unscrew the screws that hold the round tile in place and it swings open to reveal a small air vent leading north. Message 65 You enter the twisting air vent and crawl along it... Message 66 There is a shower of flames, a loud bang, then silence. Message 67 The door is locked. Message 68 You put the mothballs in the fake ears. Message 69 absolutely nowhere. You're still here! Message 70 ^{7}{16}{7} TO REALLY MESS UP YOU NEED A ^{7} COMPUTER!... Message 71 {16}{5} {147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}^{7} {16}{6}{19}{1}CONGRATULATIONS!^{7} {16}{5}{19}{0}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}^{7}^{7}{16}{4}You have completed 'The Search For Smok!'. You can now go on to Level 2 of the Microfair. The pass-phrase is...^{7}^{7}^{7} {16}{7}{19}{1}"YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE"^{7}^{7} Message 72 The magazine that reaches parts you never even knew you had! Message 73 Arrgh! Who typed that? I though every one had forgotten about that! Message 74 Not guilty officer! I deny having any knowledge of that publication. What's that you say, '{16}{4}{19}{1}Wrote for it!{5}{16}{6}{19}{0}', my dear man you must be mad!!! (Hello to Kenny and Ian if they're reading). Message 75 A big '{16}{7}{17}{1}{19}{1}{18}{1}HELLO{17}{0}{16}{6}{19}{0}{18}{0}' to Mike Gerrard, Paul Cardin and those of you out there who have written to my helpline, particually Julie 'Two Short Planks' Hughes, Mrs Davies and grandchildren, and Bernard Wood. Message 76 Anyone who spends time trying to work out these inputs must be mad. Hello there, Tim! Message 77 I wonder what he's Kooking up next, eh readers? Message 78 What you do when you play this adventure. Message 79 A word you use when you can't spell the other one. Message 80 You type in some co-ordinates. Message 81 Message 82 As this game is EXTREMELY user-friendly, when faced with a locked door all you have to do is attempt to walk through it. If you have the correct key the door is automatically unlocked and you walk through. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SYSTEM MESSAGES --------------- System Message 0 {16}{2}{19}{1}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}{147}^{7}{16}{3}{19}{1}GAME OVER^{7}{16}{2}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}{148}^{7}^{7} System Message 1 ^{7}^{7}{16}{6}You also notice...{19}{0} System Message 2 ^{7}{16}{4}What do you suggest?^{7} System Message 3 ^{7}{16}{4}What do you want to do now?^{7} System Message 4 ^{7}{16}{4}Your next idea, please?^{7} System Message 5 ^{7}{16}{4}Your next action, please?^{7} System Message 6 Sorry, but you'll have to try something else.^{7} System Message 7 You can't head off in that direction.^{7} System Message 8 No, well not at the moment anyway!^{7} System Message 9 You currently possess... A large viewscreen is set in the southern wall.^{7}Checkout and Sue-Loo are also here. Location 2 {2}{16}{5}{19}{1}This is the science station. Large computer banks cover the console which stands on the western wall. Location 3 Location 4 {2}{16}{5}{19}{1}This is the engineering section. The console is dusty and disused due to the fact that the chief engineer spends the whole time tinkering with the ship's engines. Location 5 {16}{5}{2}{19}{1}You are in the ship's transporter room. The transporter console is to your left while the transporter pad is directly in front of you. Location 6 {16}{5}This is the main control room of the Mistress's TARDIT. The black console lies in the centre of the room. The main door lies to the south while a smaller door leads north into the depths of the TARDIT. Location 7 {16}{5}This room is occupied by a large dog which snarls at you as you enter. The exit is to the east. Location 8 {16}{5}This is the {19}{1}{16}{7}B{19}{0}{16}{5}eing's {19}{1}{16}{7}O{16}{5}{19}{0}rganic {19}{1}{16}{7}G{19}{0}{16}{5}erm Removal Unit ie the BOG. The toilet in question is scientifically positioned as far away from the toilet roll holder as possible. You can leave by going west. Location 9 {16}{5}A rather soggy pepper-pot stands in this location. A door leads to the east. Location 10 {16}{5}This is the Mistress's costume room which is, surprisingly, full of costumes that these meglomaniac villain-type people tend to wear to fancy dress balls. Looking round you can see a Hitler costume, an Attilla the Hun dress and a devil's outfit. Location 11 {16}{5}This room consists of four walls positioned at right angles to each other and two parallel planes, the floor and the ceiling. A gap in the east wall forms an exit of an entrance. Location 12 {16}{5}A rather ordinary room, so ordinary that it is, in fact, boring. Location 13 {16}{5}You are in a corridor which leads to the north. In order to make things more interesting the designers have cleverly positioned doors to the east, west and south. Location 14 {16}{5}You are in another section of the TARDIT. Doors lead to the east and west, and you can also go north and south. Location 15 {16}{5}This is the end of the corridor, to the east and west lie doors while the north wall is covered with those round tiles. Location 16 {16}{5}You are in a small vent. By looking through a small grille in the floor below you can see you are above a room which contains a large pepper-pot. Location 17 {16}{5}You are in a dark hole.
